Self-Improvement – An endless effort?

It doesn’t matter who you are, and what kind of professional field you belong to. With each new day, you are granted a chance for personal self-improvement to help you become the best version of yourself.

What exactly do we mean by self-improvement?

It is a daily step forward towards the better “you”. A lifelong process throughout which you refine your abilities and strengths whilst setting new goals and strive for maximizing your full potential.

There’s no denying that personal development is one of the fundamental elements of human existence. Yet, our past-faced life and constantly changing environment often keep us occupied with other activities and duties.

You often hear people say, “but I don’t have time for reading, I have to work” or “I can’t pursue my goals/hobbies because there are other things requiring my attention”.
But exactly this pattern of thinking is what keeps us from becoming the best versions of ourselves.

After all, life will always be engaged, and a path towards self-improvement and higher self is a long and at times, difficult process taking a lifetime. Yet, the feeling of accomplishment and inner peace coming with it tastes like no other, gifting us with a blissful inner harmony and a sense of purpose.

When you feel lost in life, the universe comes to your rescue. It establishes the connection with your mind and body – two essential essences of your being.

Bodily Signals

You may notice a gut feeling, uneasy feeling inside your stomach hinting about missing out on something important.
Experience problems with falling asleep, or getting quality sleep, in general. This may be due to worrisome thoughts swirling through your mind, or a vague uneasiness.
Your immune system is also compromised, weakened to the point that you easily get cold, flu, migraines and headaches.

Signals from Your Soul

These signals can be much more intense and painful.
You may feel extreme anxiety and pressure inside. And the feeling of constant heaviness and drowsiness is always present, exhausting your mental and physiological energy and capacities.

And eventually, all the suffering gets compensated by the spiritual bliss and harmony due to answering an inner calling of your highest self.

    It is very wise that you highlight the importance of not interfering with other people’s Karma and thoughts while in hypnotherapy. 

    I loved the phrases ‘you are truly limitless’ and ‘phobias are literally paralyzing us’ and others. I believe that fear is usually greater in our minds than it is in reality.

    Yes, we are here to learn and in every moment we can learn. Learn life/karmic lessons, improve our selves and reach for our higher self as well.

    This can take hours to analyse but again thank you so much for your comment. I am grateful you took the time to write this long beautiful message. A message that will help people who read it.

    I like the point you are making and I want to highlight what you say about forgiveness. I wrote an article about the power of forgiveness and yes, as you say we need to forgive ourselves.   4. This is a really helpful article and I can tell you are genuinely inspired to help your fellow brothers and sisters who may be suffering. Past lives are not only 100% a fact, but we CAN carry traumas so severe, or debilitating phobias from our past lives in our subconscious–where all our SUBJECTIVE (note, not OBJECTIVE, but our personal interpretation) memories from our hundreds of lifetimes are stored. 

    In such cases, where the phobias are literally paralyzing us from moving forward in this life, and where we are not metaphysical students equipped with much better tools to work with the subconscious mind for ourselves, hypnotherapy can be a life-saving option. Then, it is only being used to relieve a distressed mind that is holding a person back. 

    Under these circumstances, there is no negative karma accrued by the patient or the hypnotherapist.

    However, as a spiritual student on the metaphysical path of ascension, we are strongly cautioned NOT to dabble in hypnosis or hypnotherapy of any kind. When we undergo hypnosis, we are essentially voluntarily surrendering control of our conscious mind–and thereby our free will–to allow the hypnotherapist to bypass it and fish around in the subconscious. This is very different from going to a psychic or mystic where the information given to you can still be accepted or rejected by you out of your own free will. (BTW, take info from a psychic vs a mystic with a big grain of salt)

    With hypnosis, you run the risk of violating two spiritual principles–1) never let anyone do your thinking for you, and 2) noninterference in other people’s karma.

    We are here to learn and to face our karmic lessons. A psychic or mystic may just give advice and insight to help us understand our past lives, but a hypnotherapist is crossing a line and now playing a part in the process you are undergoing to work out your own karma.  

    Even if the hypnotist’s motivations are pure, they have the best of intentions and your permission, and the results for you are truly beneficial, this process actually creates karma for you and the therapist rather than resolving it. 

    You must face your karma and your destiny for yourself and no one can do it for you. Yeah, its hard this way, but it is designed in love to help you be all you are capable of being. You are truly limitless, so why use a crutch?

    Also, as I mentioned, the memories stored in the subconscious are our SUBJECTIVE memories, versus objective as they are recorded in our Book of Life. This means that a lot of what you “remember” from your past lives during a past life regression hypnotherapy is not actually real. Then, as with dream interpretation or psychic advice or experiences, you run the risk of reading too much into something which can–again–only pull you in the wrong direction and set you back.

    All this to say, I think that hypnotherapy is a valuable special assistance tool for those suffering from severe trauma and phobias that are holding them back. If you are not a metaphysical student who knows better and has better tools already, and If the hypnotherapist approaches their work in this targeted, sort of brain-surgical way, it can be a GREAT service! However, approaching it as a sort of panacea for all life’s challenges is potentially a short-term gain, long-term loss spiritually speaking.

What an incredibly inspirational post this is and it’s just the sort of thing I need because I think a lot of us can start to get a bit complacent and a lack of enthusiasm can set in, but posts like this one here can help to motivate and give a kick start to life’s journey and the thing is that there is always room for improvement, it just takes someone like you to point it out and make us realize that we can all benefit greatly from taking these steps to improve ourselves, I have bookmarked your website and I will be coming back to read more of your posts, thank you for sharing.  

  8. Hello there, thanks for sharing this wonderful post. There are so many people who have given uo the fight because they have been faced with quite a number of difficult situations. However I have often advice we all develop our minds not to give in to challenges that we face, but rather when knocked down, we should see it as a challenge and pick ourselves up. Majority of failed goal is as a result of not having a fighting spirit which is born of a mind that isn’t willing. Nice  being here.

    The hardest critic anybody will  face is yourself. We can be critical of others, but with our self’s we tend to be harder. If we are not, how do you expect to improve? We must constantly challenge ourselves, push beyond our comfort zones,  to see what we are capable of and what our limits are. 

    It can be difficult to forgive ourselves when we do wrong, but in order to be forgiven we need to forgive. Once we do this we will be a better person. I really enjoyed reading the article, as it was very insightful.
